OUR MISSION

Thank you for inquiring about wanting to know more about what Freshwinds Training stands on and what are our MISSION STATEMENT AND OUR VALUES:

The core values of FRESHWINDS TRAINING are:

Our Values

The Bible is the inerrant Word of God and is the foundation and framework for all God is doing and saying in the world today. (2Timothy 3:16-17)

God is working to reconcile the world to Himself through Jesus Christ. (2Corinthians 5:18-20; Colossians 1:19-20)  Jesus Christ is Lord of the church and individually of His disciples. (Ephesians 5:23; Romans 1:4; 1Corinthians 1:23-24)  The Holy Spirit is working to supernaturally involve Christ’s disciples in what God is doing. (Acts 1:8; John 14:12-17; 16:13; 1Corinthians 4:20; 2Corinthians 3:5-18; 1Thessalonians 1:5)  Each believer is uniquely created and gifted to be a minister of Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-16; 2Corinthians 3:5-6, 5:18)  Effective ministry is only achieved through a cooperative friendship with God. (Psalm 103:7; Hebrews 3:10; Isaiah 55:8; John 15:14-16; 2Corinthians 5:20; 6:1; Philippians 2:12-13)  The chief aim of the life and ministry of each believer is to glorify God and to enjoy Him now and forever. (Ephesians 1:5-6, 12; Romans 11:36; 15:13; Jude 24-25; 1 Corinthians 6:20, 31; Revelation 4:11; Psalm 16:11; Psalm 144:15; Revelation 21:3-4; Philippians 4:4)

Our Vision

FWT is training and developing passionate, God-seeking, disciple-making ministers of Christ, who are infused with the Person and power of the Holy Spirit. They are transformed leaders who are in turn changing their world, both locally and globally, by effectively living out the life of Christ in their homes, communities and in the marketplace.

Our Mission

It is the primary purpose of FWTA to embrace, model and teach the Word of God, the ways of God and the work of God, in and through the power of God.

Our Methods

We are achieving this mission by utilizing godly teachers and Christian leaders who encourage and motivate students through instruction and interaction, with concentration on the Bible (God’s Word), theology (God’s ways) and ministry (God’s work) in an environment that is inviting and open to the present day dynamics of the Holy Spirit. Virtual Classroom instruction is enhanced by practical experience in the areas of the student's gifting.

Our Desire for FRESHWINDS TRAINING Students

Integrated with FWTA Core Values, Mission, Methods and Vision, are commitments we have made to ourselves and to our students. In relation to the following highlighted priorities and emphases, we at FRESHWINDS TRAINING have committed ourselves to ideals for our students in the following areas:  God the Father: We desire to see our students motivated to seek an intimate knowledge of God the Father, being firmly established in His grace and love.  Jesus Christ: We desire that our students intentionally cultivate a sanctified passion for Jesus Christ the Son, and to be unreservedly yielded to His Lordship in every area of their lives.  The Holy Spirit: We desire that our students seek a deeper relationship and communion with the Holy Spirit, learning to discern and obey His voice and learning to rely upon His enabling for a victorious life and effective ministry.

Humility: We desire for our students to see true humility modeled and encouraged by the faculty and staff and for them to develop a style of ministry that produces the exaltation of the Lord rather than His servants.

Intercession: We desire that our students embrace prayer and intercession as a foundational imperative for all other types of ministry.

Learning Skills: We desire that our students gain the necessary knowledge and develop the skills that will provide the basis for a lifetime of searching the Scriptures and applying its principles to their lives and to the lives of others.

The Church: We desire that our students grow in their love for and commitment to the Body of Christ in general and their own local churches in particular, realizing and embracing their place in God’s program today.

Godly Witness: We desire our students to be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, to learn how to share the Word in a culturally relevant manner, and to develop skills to be effective witnesses for the Lord, meeting the spiritual needs of people in all areas of life.

Theology & Ethics: We desire our students to be enabled to understand and apply sound theological principles and godly ethical standards as a foundation for sound living and effective service.

Servant-Leaders: We desire that our students become humble servants who know how to give clear direction and leadership in an uncertain and immoral landscape strewn with failed leaders. Devoted servant-leaders will display integrity, character and faithfulness in their homes, at work and in the marketplace and will not be swayed by the allurement of worldly measures of success.
